Made by a team of seasoned developers from the Philippines with 20 years of experience in mobile game development (The team have experience since the days of Pocket PC and Palm OS), Anito Legends hooks players with deep strategy and preparation before sending out their team of NFT creatures (called ‘Anitos’ or spirits) to conquer towers (PVE) and battle other players in the arena (PVP).

B. PRODUCT DETAILS

1. PRODUCT VIABILITY

Some key points:

  • The team is composed of industry veterans in game development with experience dating back to the days of Palm OS and Pocket PC. The team has released 20 games on Android and iOS with close to 60 million downloads in total.
  • The base product (the game) is already live since August 2022, with more than 1,400 minted NFTs and DAU that increases roughly 10–15% per week, even without P2E. The team is working on launching P2E, the marketplace, and the breeding mechanics after the TGE (before year-end).
  • Anito Legends are very responsive to their community and have listened to a lot of feedback, releasing 40 game updates taking into account the feedback from over 1,600 beta testers from February 2022 to August 2022
  • They have crossplay on all major platforms (iOS, Android, PC, and Mac), with cloud save and cross-progression. Being available on 4 different platforms potentially allows us to reach billions of players — The team is better positioned when mass adoption happens in Web3/GameFi.

2. TECHNOLOGY

Core Product: Early on the implemented cloud saving / cross play technology via Playfab so that players will be able to synchronize and “pick up and play” across four different platforms (iOS, Android, PC, Mac). Integration of Metamask wallet is through WalletConnect. The game is developed on Unity.

BSC does offer fast and cheap transactions while maintaining a secure and scalable network at the same time, the network itself is highly centralized.

3. PRODUCT DIVE

Since Anito Legends is a game, players need to purchase a team of three NFT’s to begin playing. A team of 3 assets unlocks the full potential of the game, allowing players to participate in the current game modes, which are Adventure Mode (PvE) and Arena Mode (PVP). A full team of Anitos can fully utilize the play and earn mechanics (launching by November 2022). For breeding / summoning, two Anitos are required.

Secondary market sales — Anito team are developing their own marketplace for holders / users to buy and sell their NFTs and they will take a commission from each sale.

In-game sinks — The team have a number of in-game sinks that are needed by the player (cashing out ticket, battlepass, cosmetic items) that they are also charging BUSD (paired with their reward token $GINTO)

D. BACKGROUND

  1. TEAM
    General Information

The team is composed of the following individuals, starting off with James Chua as CEO. He has had over 10 years of experience as a mobile game developer having founded Pixelkit Inc and Popsicle Games with co-founder Jed Cruz. Jed is also a faculty member for Multimedia Arts in one of Manila’s top colleges for the past 5 years and serves as the team’s Chief Creative Officer. Erick Garayblas is the COO in charge of overall game design. He is the Game Design Winner in Storm of the World, outshining 250 other participants from other countries. He is also a startup mentor for Ideaspace and Startup Weekend. He has been featured as one of the ‘Mad Men of Mobile’ in a book of the same title. Lastly, Jayvee Fernandez serves as CMO bringing to the table over 15 years of experience in traditional and digital media, starting the blog network for Hinge-Inquirer Publications in the mid 2000’s and leading the digital transformation efforts for The Manila Bulletin from 2013 to 2021. He is also the founder of 8List.PH under the PR and marketing agency Stratworks / ID8. He has been organizing influencers since the days of Web 2.0 since 2007.

Justin is the Lead Developer with over 10 years of experience in game development. He co-founded Choo-Choo Apps with Erick Garayblas and has worked in tandem with him in various projects before joining the Anito Legends team. Justin also has a B2 certification in German. James Honda Jr. is our lead artist. He started out as a 2D/3D artist intern for several months before joining the team full-time, for the past 2 years. He also earned his Autodesk Maya Certified Professional Certification in 2015.

Eli Rabadon is a seasoned blockchain developer and has been working closely with the team for smart contracts and Dapp implementation. Luie Magbanua has an extensive background in PR agencies and client service for more than 10 years. Christian Angel handles web security as a penetration tester. Sam Khalil has recently joined the team, having had previous experience in game development
