2. TECHNOLOGY

Game Engine
The game will be developed using Unity 3D engine, version 2020.3.20f1. Unity is a flexible real-time development platform that possesses powerful features, coupled with a vast Assets Store and a very active and supportive users community. Unity’s flexibility and a good learning curve make it the most suitable team and what we want to achieve. The graphics system effectively facilitates our visual targets, while the Assets Store offers many packages that help speed up the development and multiplatform.

Art Style
Ookeenga employs a semi-realistic art style that combines 3D stylized characters with realistic rendering. The result is a rich & colorful art style that fits well with the well-constructed world of the game.

Blockchain Security
Transaction security is fundamental to the whole project. Therefore, we do not allow any malfunction in smart contracts, including the Token and NFT contracts. Tokenomic operations will be meticulously tracked to monitor off-chain and on-chain transactions, ensuring accuracy and safety. All smart contracts are testnet launched over multiple versions to find and fix any errors that arise in the transaction and economical operation in the game.

Backend
Our backend is hosted on Playfab and Photon Cloud. PlayFab is a complete backend platform for live games with managed game services, real-time analytics, and LiveOps. PlayFab enables developers to use the intelligent cloud to build and operate games, analyze gaming data and improve overall gaming experiences. Photon Cloud is a fully managed software as a service (SaaS) solution. We can completely concentrate on our application client while Exit Games takes care of hosting, server operations, and scaling.

3. PRODUCT DIVE

The gameplay of Ookeenga is a combination of 3 genres that are common in the gaming community: Real-time Strategy, Collectible Card, Tower Defense.

Players will be placed on a field, using units or spells to attack the opponent to destroy the most number of opponent’s towers (within three game minutes) or eliminate the opponent’s central tower.

The match ends when: The player beats the opponent’s main house.

Within 3 minutes, the match will be automatically terminated and the game will calculate the score based on the % remaining health of the main house and sub-towers; whoever has more towers will win. If the number of buildings is equal, the total HP of the towers will be calculated and compared to get the results. The case within 3 minutes that both sides do not lose blood will lead to 1 tie result for both players.

Five separate character systems will constitute each character in the world Ookeenga: Races — Classes — Body — Body Part — Rarity. Each of these systems will give the character a unique phenotype and strength. It is estimated that approximately 80 million characters can be created.

Ookeenga also possesses an extended land system where players can own lands to receive passive income flow of resources (tokens, in-game materials…).

At present, our entire team is focusing all on the Ookeenga project. With experience in running various traditional games, we know that publishing a game does not mean you can just throw it out, hoping it will survive and grow by itself. Instead, we must keep tracking feedback from players, draw out insights and adjust the game balance. We also have a detailed plan to update new game features and allocate them in a reasonable timeline to keep players engaged. The community then can continuously have new activities, hence staying lively and sustainable.

One of our major plans is to publish Ookeenga web 2 version shortly after to acquire traditional web 2 players. With 10 years of experience in web 2 ourselves, we are even more confident in having Sonat Game as our core advisor, one of the most successful studios in Vietnam with over 3M users.
